It is with great pleasure that I’d like to share that I have taken a position with another company and am finally able to start seeing clients again. The company is called Ahwatukee Behavioral Health & Wellness. They see people for medication management, talk therapy and will shortly be introducing TMS and ketamine treatments. They have in person visitations as well as telehealth.

Dear Be Well Mental Health Care Client:
It is with deep regret that we are writing this letter to inform you that we will no longer be able to serve as your Psychiatric Mental Health Care Providers at Be Well Mental Health Care. Unfortunately, we must shut down our practice to address unexpected responsibilities and are no longer able to serve our clients in the fashion we hoped.
Angela Welker, PMHNP-BC will see patients through March 30, 2024, for emergencies or medication refills, with only telehealth available until that time. We will continue to provide medical care for you prior to this closing date. You can submit a request to our office to have your medical records forwarded to a new health care provider of your choice. Medical record requests can be sent to 4100 S Lindsay Rd #124, Gilbert, AZ 85297. Requests will be filled as per time limitations dictated by state law retention requirements. Once the office is closed, your medical records will be stored in a safe online electronic medical records forum, per state rules.
Additionally, a new provider will be at the same location and will be accepting new clients. The practice is called Wayfinder Psychiatry, and the provider is Marcus Daniels, PMHNP-BC. They can be reached at (480) 256-2648 or info@wayfinderpsychiatry.org. They currently accept Cigna, Aetna, Optum, UHC and UMR as well as cash pay.

Angela has been serving as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practioner for children, adolescents and adults since receiving her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College. She also currently oversees a few group homes in the Valley for families recovering from substance abuse. Before making the transition to a provider she worked within many populations of mental health care as a Psychiatric Nurse, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from ASU. She has worked with clients in acute psychiatric emergencies, severe mental illness, substance abuse and recovery, family practice and long term residential psychiatric care. Before finding her calling for mental health care Angela received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from ASU and taught at a non-profit alternative school in Gilbert.
April’s first career was a school teacher, serving the elementary, Jr High and Highschool populations. She specialized in mathematics and physical education. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness from Arizona State University, followed by a Master of Arts in Education. After serving the community’s youth for a decade she went back to school to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Creighton University. It was in nursing school that she found a passion for mental health care. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health Care from Walden University. April has experience working with substance abuse detox and recovery, severe mental illness within the judicial system, acute and long-term psychiatric care.
